The Red Rooster Retreat is owned
and operated by Jim & Jennifer
Mathews Bridges.

Jim is a retired Army pilot and
Jennifer is a retired elementary
school teacher.  We have three
daughters and seven grand
children, 6 girls and 1 boy.  Two of
the families live here in Cullman
and the other lives in Washington
DC.

Jim & Jennifer went to high school
together here in Cullman, Ala.  
Both of our families live close by.  
That makes us locals, there was
just a 30 year period we lived other
places .
These are the
grand children,
and of course
they stay free
and eat lots of
snacks
The Red Rooster Retreat
was born out of an idea
from our children and
their families.   They
wanted a free place to
stay while they enjoyed
the lake.  And now, we
do give them a discount if
they book far enough in
advance.
All About Us
Jennifer has been a quilter for
many years.  Her mother Yvon
Mathews has been quilting
most of her life.  Most of the
quilts around the Red Rooster
have been made by them.  
It isn't all work
and no play
